It's another beautiful day here in Iowa and Nebraska. I always wonder how soon the snow will start, so we have to "make hay while the sun shines". New dolls coming in, today, at the shop. Handmade in America!!! Yay!!! Some of them are dressed in Civil War reproduction fabric. I can hardly wait to see them! Thanks to my 4 daughters and 4 of my granddaughters who helped us set up Christmas at Victorian Heart. We still have more to do. Where, oh, where, to put the new dolls? October! My favorite time of the year.
October is my favorite time of the year. We are having beautiful weather and the trees are turning such gorgeous shades. We have been very busy at the shop. October is a busy month. Apple picking time at all the orchards and Living History demonstrations every Sunday at the Arbor Lodge. A new shipment of Savannah Cinnamon mixes is coming to the shop, today. I need to get more pictures of the fall items. So much to get done!

Applejack Festival!!
We had a fantastic time at Applejack! There were so many people we had never met before. The rain held off pretty much on Saturday but it rained some on Sunday. We saw people in big rain gear, with boxes, walking to pick their apples at the orchard. We even made it to the orchard yesterday before they closed. The Jonnagold and Johnathan apples are so delicious. Good price too. We also sampled the homemade apple donuts. They are the best!! There were lots of people in the shop for three days. More on Saturday than the other days. Our Potpourris were a big hit with everyone! Really enjoyed talking to some lovely visitors from England last week. Now the fun begins with all the visitors coming to pick apples and visit the orchards. We will be busy til after Christmas. Hugs, Paula
